How can I use AthletesBoard? |
| First step (and the only one that is mandatory) in joining the AthletesBoard community is signing up to the service using our sign up page. In this page you are required to fill in some basic details in order to create a new user profile. An activation e-mail will be sent to your email. Clicking on the activation link within that e-mail will enable your account and turn you in to a registered member in the AthletesBoard community. |
| Creating new friendships or connecting with old friends is part of the core functionality inside AthletesBoard. Weaving your social network and inviting your friends and teammates to join has one big advantage - The more friends you acquire the easier it will be for other athletes that don’t know you yet to trust you and connect with you. | |
| It is very important and beneficial to give a possibility to other athletes in the community to get to know you better. Your profile includes fields of information that were optional during the registration page. In case you did not fill these in during registration we highly recommend to every member of AthletesBoard to take the time (it only takes a couple of minutes) and fill in this extra information about you in your profile. Sharing such information with your fellow athletes will help them to get to know you better and instill a higher level of confidence and trust. | |
Groups is where people with passion for the same kind of sport gather. Whether you practice yoga, love to hike the outdoors or just about to do your first marathon, you can find your group of interest with a matching theme. Being part of a group will give you the opportunity to share information about interesting events relevant to this group, training techniques, gear or any other related subject. |
AthletesBoard stands for its name and includes a platform for sporting Events. Every event on the board represents an event in real life such as Boston Marathon or Ironman Utah. You can join an event (directly or from within a specific group) and share information with the other Athletes who share the same interest as you do and might be participating in the same event as you. |
We have built a very powerful tool to increase even more the level of trust you put in other athletes and a way to make other athletes trust you. |
